ESPN Radio has set November 27th as the debut of its new morning show with Mike Golic and Trey Wingo. Golic & Wingo will air 6-10a (ET) on ESPN Radio and will be simulcast initially on ESPN2 and then, in early January, on ESPNU.
The show, with contributions from “First & Last” co-host Mike Golic Jr., replaces “Mike and Mike in the Morning,” with Mike Greenberg and Golic.
The network announced that Greenberg and Golic will part ways after nearly two decades together on November 17. Before then, viewers can see a preview of Mike Golic’s new morning drive show with co-host Trey Wingo on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week when Wingo takes over for Mike Greenberg in the Mike and Mike spot. Greenberg will be guest hosting The Michael Kay Show on those days.
The official break-up date comes two months after the network announced the two were splitting up. The Golic and Greenberg have spoken numerous times on-air since that announcement about their mutual affection for each other and have disputed reports that they’re no longer on speaking terms.
