New York-based United Stations is familiar with the two-hour-long weekend product, since it previously handled national sales for “Countdown.” “Sammy Hagar’s Top Rock Countdown” airs for two hours each weekend on more than 90 rock radio stations, including such legendary call letters as WLUP Chicago, KSHE St. Louis and KGON Portland, OR. Each weekend on the show former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar presents a new theme and his Top 20 songs related to the subject matter of his choice. Previous syndicator Envisage Radio Group shut its doors in April.
