The 2015 National Radio Hall of Fame Voting is Underway

For the first time in five years, the public will participate in the voting for the 2015 inductees into the National Radio Hall of Fame. Under the new Chairman Kraig Kitchin, the public will vote on two categories (Music format On-Air Personality and Spoken Word Personality), while a 400-person panel of radio-related pros votes on another four. The nominees in the two “voted on by the public categories are as follows:

Music Format Personality

  • Delilah
  • Elvis Duran
  • Steve Harvey
  • Ryan Seacrest

Spoken Word

  •  Sean Hannity
  •  Clark Howard
  •  Jim Rome
  • Dr. Laura Schlessinger

In the two Syndicated Radio categories voted on by the industry the nominees are:

Network/Syndication (10 years or more) 

  • Tom Kent
  • Dave Ramsey
  • Diane Rehm
  • Michael Savage

Longstanding Network/Syndication (20 years or more)

  • Harry Shearer
  • Bob & Tom
  • Bob Kingsley
  • Marketplace

“This impressive list of nominees represents the best examples of talent with commendable audience relationships past and present,” said Kitchin.  “Each individual and show was selected after extensive deliberation by the steering committee. We are all looking forward to seeing the results as determined by our industry peers and listeners nationwide.”

The National Radio Hall of Fame’s induction ceremony will take place November 7 at the Hall’s home, the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago.
