Premiere Radio Imports the Ronnie Wood Show to the US

One of the Rolling Stones has got the radio bug.  Premiere Networks will provide syndicated radio distribution and exclusive ad sales representation for “The Ronnie Wood Show” in North America. Launched in April 2010 on Absolute Radio in the UK, “The Ronnie Wood Show” will make its North American debut on WAXQ-FM (Q104.3) New York. The one-hour program-available to rock music stations on weekends from 6am to midnight features Ronnie Wood, best known as a member of the Birds, the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces and the Rolling Stones. Wood will play a variety of music from his favorite new and established artists, while sharing personal stories from his legendary music career. In addition he’ll welcome friends, music artists, celebrities and others such as Slash, Kenney Jones and Mary Wilson.

Wood stated, “I’m so excited to have my own radio show in America. I love going down the archives every week playing some of my favorite music of all time, while reminiscing and taking a trip down memory lane. It’s more than a music show, it’s an education, so sit back and enjoy the ride!”

“Ronnie is one of the most important rock stars in history, and it’s a personal thrill to be able to bring this unique, creative program to a U.S. audience,” stated Premiere Networks Senior VP/Programming Jennifer Leimgruber.
