Syndicated radio company Dial Global and Westwood One radio network are joining forces to form a giant single company offering radio programming, services and advertising sales. The new combined company will also serve as a national ad sales rep for independent content producers and networks. The union of the two syndicated radio giants should close sometimes in Q4 2011, pending federal approval on what is a complete stock-for-stock transaction.
“This transaction brings together a highly complementary portfolio of programming assets that will better serve our clients and customers,” said Dial Global co-CEOs Spencer Brown, David Landau and Ken Williams. “We will focus on utilizing the combined company’s expanded content and sales platform to enhance the services and value we offer to our current and future clients.”
