According to an article in the New York Daily News, Citadel Media and WABC-AM New York syndicated radio talk host John Batchelor will continue broadcasting his show even though Osama Bin Laden was shot and killed. Batchelor began his show the day after 9/11, on the premise that he would continue broadcasting until Bin Ladin’s capture or death. Batchelor was in Poland, covering commemorative events at the site of the World War II Auschwitz and Birkenau death camps, when word came late Sunday evening that Osama Bin Laden had been killed.
“Hitler’s death did not eradicate evil, neither will Bin Laden’s death, Batchelor told the newspaper, “The devils look the same, no matter the era. Now there are other new devils to capture or kill. One devil down, many to go, so little time.”
Batchelor admitted to the newspaper that he wasn’t sure Bin Laden would ever be apprehended. But now that he has been, he says he will be extending his WABC stay.
