Talk Radio Network’s syndicated radio host Erich “Mancow” Muller has settled a lawsuit against Emmis Communications after the company fired him in 2006 from Alternative WKQX-FM (Q101) Chicago. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed. Mancow had sued Emmis for $6 million, alleging the company disparaged his show and conspired to prevent him from working in Chicago. The suit originally claimed that after Emmis decided not to renew his deal in July, 2006, Q101 personalities mocked him on-air and that management made false, disparaging remarks about his show. Muller also alleged that his former employer sabotaged his efforts to lease studio space. Chicago Media writer Robert Feder reported that Mancow’s only comments on the case were “His life is wonderful in every way.” Emmis says no statement is forthcoming on the matter.
