Beck out Mike Gallagher in at WOR New York

Salem Radio Network’s Mike Gallagher is set to replace Glenn Beck at WOR, New York when the station drops the Premiere Radio Network syndicated radio talker on January 17. Gallagher, who will broadcast from both  New York and Dallas, will host 10am-noon while local morning man John Gambling will remain on the air until 10 am. It will be Beck’s second top 10 market loss this year. CBS Radio talker WPHT, Philadelphia is eliminating Beck and Sean Hannity in favor of more local talk on the same day.|

“Mike is a superb broadcaster with a real sensitivity for the issues surrounding New York,” WOR VP/GM Jerry Crowley says. “Since he will be broadcasting from our studios overlooking Ground Zero much of the time, Mike will have the unique advantage of commenting on our local issues that have national implications.” Gallagher says he’s “excited to begin working towards the kind of ratings and revenue growth worthy of a station like WOR.”
