Arbitron’s December 2010 RADAR 107 radio network audience ratings are out, with Dial Global’s Contemporary, Complete FM and Adult Power taking the top three spots for Adults 18-49 and 25-54. For Adults 18-49, the rankings were led by Dial Global’s Contemporary Network, edging its Complete FM Network; Dial Global’s Adult Power, Premiere Radio Network’s Modern Women Network, Dial Global’s Female Perspective, Premiere’s Young Influencers:15 and Today’s Men Network, Westwood One’s Adults Network, United Station’s Impact Network, and Premiere’s Informed Network rounded out the top 10.
Dial Global’s Contemporary Network was also at the top in Adults 25-54, with its Complete FM Network and Adult Power in second and third place. Premiere’s Informed Network placed fourth, followed by Westwood One’s Adults Network, Premiere’s Modern Women Network and Today’s Men Network, Dial Global’s Female Perspective and Music and Entertainment, and United Stations’ Impact Network.
Arbitron noted that over 189 million persons 12 plus heard one or more network radio commercials in an average week of the survey period, an increase of over 800,000 against last December’s report. Commercials aired on the 54 radio networks surveyed reached 73.7% of persons 12 plus, 74.1% of persons 18 plus, 73.3% of persons 35 plus, and 76.6% of persons 18-49.
Citadel added two networks for this survey-Contemporary FM and Family FM, bringing the total number of rated networks to 54. AURN will be adding a new, fourth RADAR-rated network from the recent deal to represent syndicated radio company, SupeRadio- “AURN Elite.”
