Elvis Duran Gets Ready to “Phown” Spike TV

The Elvis Duran Group has teamed with Atlas Media Corp. on a five-episode pilot for Phowned, based on the “Phone Taps” segment of the Premiere syndicated radio Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. The show features prank calls, as hidden cameras┬árecord reactions. Phowned, set to debut December 13 on Spike, features morning show members David Brody, Skeery Jones, Danielle Monaro, Loren Raye, Greg T, TJ Taormina, and Garrett Vogel, with Elvis Duran Group CEO David Katz and Elvis Duran as executive producers.

“We’ve been very curious to see if ‘Phone Taps’ would translate to television,” Katz said. “The concept t behind the famous prank calls is a proven fan favorite that could potentially make for interesting TV.

Premiere President/Content & Affiliate Relations Julie Talbott said. “We’re excited about Elvis’ expansion into another medium, which will expose new radio listeners to the morning show.”
