TRN Announces Plans for New All News Radio Network

Talk Radio Network CEO Mark Masters has announced the founding of a new long form all-news radio network that will offer stations live, treat three-hour syndicated news blocks, Monday-Friday, beginning in 2011. Already the syndicator of the daily DC-based America’s Morning News, Masters says the new network will ultimately deliver 15-hours a day of all-news programming, with dayparts launching “in sequence” beginning next January. “Our teams will fill the void on both ends of the spoken-word spectrum, with best-in-breed opinion Talk through the different TRN networks, and long form News-only programming specifically designed for radio, through the new all-news radio network,” says Masters. “The flexibility of being able to cherry pick certain three-hour long form news blocks, or go all-news, 24/7, will be unprecedented and highly profitable for our affiliates.”
