Syndication One morning talent and comedian Rickey Smiley can finally be heard in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Five years after starting his radio career, Smiley’s syndicated radio show made its Birmingham debut Monday on Cox Radio’s new WENN 101.9 FM, which calls itself “Birmingham’s Neo Soul Station.”
“Now the listeners in Birmingham can have our native son back in the saddle again delivering his unique brand of humor,” said Kori White, Cox Radio’s Birmingham operations manager.
Smiley, who graduated from Birmigham’s Woodlawn High School and made his stand-up debut in the city 20 years ago, welcomed Oscar winner Mo’Nique to the show during his Birmingham debut Monday.
