The announcement comes as ABC Radio Networks begins to re brand itself to advertisers and audiences across all media platforms as Citadel Media. It’s an historic move for the company which despite several owners over the years including Disney and Cap Cities, had retained the ABC moniker. This marks the first time since 1927 that the name ABC has not been associated with network radio. However the names of the brands the company represents which include the ABC radio properties and ESPN will not be affected.
