Wendy Williams has put more distance between her old life as a syndicated radio personality and her new one as a television talk show host, renewing her deal with Fox Television for “The Wendy Williams Show” through the 2011-2012 season.
The renewal includes the Fox O&Os in the top-markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Dallas.

The National Radio Hall of Fame induction ceremonies were held last weekend in Chicago and former syndicated radio personality turned television talk show host Wendy Williams took her place among radio’s legendary icons. Apparently time has stripped away much of the humility she first showed publicly when she got the news of her induction from RHOF national chairman Bruce Dumont in July. O.K. so shoot me, we fell asleep last night right before the BET debut of ex-syndicated radio host Mo’Nique and “The Mo’Nique Show.” Although we missed the entire show, Roger Catlin of The Hartford Courant stayed awake and gave this review of “The Mo’Nique Show”. In announcing it’s fall lineup BET is replacing one ex-syndicated radio host with another. “The Mo’Nique Show” premieres Monday, October 5th at 11:00 pm as televisions newest late night talk show. The Wendy Williams show which is currently airing on BET at 11pm, will have to settle for a new time slot. The National Radio Hall of Fame has announced it’s 2009 inductees and syndicated radio was well represented. Dial Global’s syndicated talker Neal Boortz,and two former Westwood One Radio Network talents Wendy Williams and Dr. Demento were selected into the hall via an online ballot. The National Radio Hall of Fame steering committee also selected radio executive Norman Pattiz for induction. There are some very strong rumblings that Westwood One syndicated radio and WBLS New York afternoon diva Wendy Williams will leave radio at the end of next week. The Westwood One syndicated radio personality is nominated in the local/regional/active category for her 20 year body of work including her current position in afternoons at WBLS New York.
