Charlemagne, former Wendy Williams Experience co-host and morning personality at Radio One’s WPHI-FM (100.3 The Beat) Philadelphia, has been released from the station.  Various reasons for the firing have been mentioned including one involving  fallout from a Jay-Z controversy and another around Charlemagne’s insistence on focusing on more controversial topics than station management was comfortable with. Westwood One has announced two new affiliates for the nationally syndicated “Wendy Williams Experience”. New addtions to the roster for the 2p-6p EST afternoon show include Poinet Comunnications’ WRXB Tampa, Florida and the St. Augustines College owned and operated WAUG Raleigh, North Carolina.

Filling a slot that has been vacant for a few months, the Westwood One syndicated, WBLS New York based Wendy Williams Experience has tapped Ken Simmons as its new producer. Simmons is a former senior producer at X-Radio Networks/Dial-Global and MJI Broadcasting.
