Now it’s official. After weeks of speculation surrounding Syndication One talker and activist The Rev.Al Sharpton, and if or when he was getting the 6pm slot on MSNBC, the network announced Tuesday that Sharpton will host “PoliticsNation” on weeknights starting August 29. One of our favorite people to watch since her syndicated radio show was cancelled by Syndication One, is the Oscar award winning actress/comedian Mo’Nique. Now rumor has it that her BET late night talk show has been dropped by the network. The news is not substantiated but Media TakeOut.com is reporting that the show was let go due to “personality” conflicts between the star and BET executives. We’ll keep an eye on this one.

The New York Times reported today that sources at MSNBC say that civil rights activist and Syndication One syndicated radio talker the Rev. Al Sharpton is close to being named the permanent 6 pm anchor on the network.
