Centric, Black Entertainment Networks older skewing sister station has announced plans to air a live cable simulcast of the the Premiere Radio Network syndicated morning show “The Steve Harvey Show” calling it “The Steve Harvey Project.” This is Harvey’s second recent foray back into television although it won’t require as much heavy lifting as his just announced gig as the new host of the Family Feud. The BET show is projected to air in the fourth quarter of this year.

State Farm Insurance has tapped Premiere Radio Networks syndicated radio host Steve Harvey for a series of digital comedy shorts on a range of topics of interest to car and home insurance consumers. The first short premiered at Harveyknowsbest.com on Monday (10/19) to coincide with National Teen Driver Safety Week, which runs Oct. 19-24. The NAB has announced the nominees for the 2009 Marconi Awards, winners to be revealed at the NAB Radio Show September 24th in Philadelphia. Citadel Media afternoon syndicated radio personality Michael Baisden and the Lampo Groups’ Dave Ramsey are among the nominees in the Network Syndicated Personality of the Year category.
