*UPDATE* Here’s a clarification to yesterdays post: according to the Wall Street Journal, the now bankrupt Nova M’s other host Mike Malloy, is switching to Phoenix-based start-up On Second Thought Radio Network LLC. which is not a reorganized Nova M but backed by Dr. Mike Newcomb, who was involved with Nova M until last year. Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer is first out of the gate with this: Nova M, the radio syndicator built on the Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy shows is done. It was also revealed in a letter from Rhodes’ attorney Robert V. Gaulin that Nova M founder Sheldon Drobney has attempted suicide and is hospitalized in Chicago. Drobney is also the founder of Air America and was instrumental in launching Randi Rhodes on a national platform. …
