Radio Syndication’s Next National Talker…Geraldo Rivera?

Fox News weekend anchor and correspondent Geraldo Rivera has signed a deal with Cumulus Media to host 10am to noon on WABC-AM New York.  Rivera starts his new gig on January 3 replacing Joe Crummey who ended his show last week. Cumulus is hoping that Rivera, who is a Republican but expresses liberal views on issues like immigration and abortion, will broaden WABC’s audience which is best known for having the conservative heavy hitters Rush …

Rush, Seacrest Top Radio Performers on Forbes List

Premiere syndicated radio talker Rush Limbaugh is #23 on the new Forbes Celebrity 100 list of the world’s most powerful celebrities with an estimated recent yearly pay of $64 million. #24 is KIIS-FM, Los Angeles and Premiere Radio syndicated Ryan Seacrest, $61 million.  Sirius XM star Howard Stern is #26 on the list with $76 million. And #30 is Premiere talker Glenn Beck, with an estimated $40 million in pay.

Rush Tops Talkers “Heavy” List for the 5th Year

Rush Limbaugh has once again landed on top of the Talkers Magazine “Heavy Hundred” ranking the 100 most important radio talk show hosts in America. Limbaugh’s place on the 2011 list marks the fifth year in a row that the EBI/Premiere Radio Network syndicated radio talker has claimed the top spot. Smerconish Cuts Mornings, Keeps Syndicated Middays

Dial Global syndicated radio talker Michael Smerconish is ending his national morning show in January to focus on his syndicated midday show. Smerconish’s flagship station, CBS Radio’s WPHT Philadelphia, will move his show from mornings to the 3p-7p  slot, leaving Premiere Radio Network’s  Sean Hannity temporarily without a Philly home.

Talkers Names Limbaugh “Heaviest” of All Time

Premiere Radio Networks syndicated radio talk superstar and media icon Rush Limbaugh, tops the list on TALKERS magazine’s new “HEAVIEST HUNDRED: The 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts of All Time” which appears in the trade magazine’s July/August 20th Anniversary Issue. The entire list will be released early next week and includes such diverse radio figures as Limbaugh, Arthur Godfrey and Barry Gray.

Syndication One syndicated radio talker Rev. Al Sharpton is putting  some heat on Rush Limbaugh ‘s bid to acquire an NFL team.
