Rush Tops Talkers “Heavy” List for the 5th Year

Rush Limbaugh has once again landed on top of the Talkers Magazine “Heavy Hundred” ranking the 100 most important radio talk show hosts in America. Michael Savage Seeks Freedom from TRN

Talk Radio Network syndicated radio show host Michael Savage (Michael Weiner) has sued Talk Radio Network in Federal Court, claiming “intimidation” and that the syndicated radio network is trying to force him into “indentured servitude.” The suit according to CourthouseNews.com claims that during an open negotiation period, Savage received an offer from Westwood One founder Norm Pattiz’s Courtside, LLC to syndicate the show via Westwood One. Cost concerns and potential “legal issues” are preventing TRN syndicated radio talker Michael Savage from participating in a debate at Cambridge University via video.  Savage was banned from physically entering the U.K. by former British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, and he filed suit over being placed on a terrorist watch list.

Talk Radio Networks talker Michael Savage has lost his flagship station after being dropped by Clear Channel “Talk 910″ KNEW San Francisco. The station says it’s decided to “go in a different philosophical and ideological direction,” replacing Savage with the “John and Ken Show” from L.A. sister station KFI.

In a few short months Talk Radio Network syndicated radio talker Michael Savage has gone from being unwelcome in the U.K.-to an invited guest. The Cambridge Union Society, the world’s oldest debating society has invited Savage to speak at next month’s political correctness debate. If he accepts the invitation-which in itself is open to debate-the Society says he could address the crowd by video link and not step foot in the country.

Talk Radio Network‘s Michael Savage says that the news that he has been removed from Britain’s list of banned “undesirables” was premature and he remains banned from the U.K.  Savage said the initial reports from London’s Daily Mail and World Net Daily omitted the detail that Savage’s name is technically not removed, but that the list itself is no longer being published.
