Tom Taylor at Radio-Info is reporting this morning that Kidd Kraddick has been picked by Citadel Media to be the morning show for it’s Hot AC syndicated radio format. Kraddick is based in Dallas (as is Citadel) at Clear Channel’s KHKS, but does his own syndication. The rest of the “Hot AC” daytime lineup will include Teresa Brown, mid-days, and Race Taylor (WPLJ New York) in afternoons. Yea Network and Clear Channel Radio announced that Kidd Kraddick in the Morning is now part of the lineup on Clear Channel’s iheartradio mobile streaming application. The Kraddick show is now available 24/7 to iPhone and BlackBerry users via iheartradio, which has been downloaded for the iPhone more than 2 million times.

News out of the Clear Channel management meetings in Dallas has the company unveiling two new programming initiatives including what it calls “a multi-point plan to raise the bar for radio programming across all dayparts and platforms, including online and mobile.”  The plan includes the expected introduction of national and regional programming in a program called “Premium Choice” that the company says makes proven programming  and popular on-air talent readily available  to local PDs in all markets for all dayparts.
