Envision Radio Network syndicated radio morning hosts Lex & Terry are out at their Dallas flag ship 97.1 KEGL-FM. J.D. Freeman, president/ market manager for Clear Channel Dallas released the following statement to the KEGL staff:
“Effective today, KEGL will no longer air the Lex & Terry Show. We have made the decision to take mornings in a different direction. As we recruit for the morning show, Cindy Scull will host mornings with an additional focus on music.

Impact Radio Networks has signed an agreement with Jayne FM for affiliation and distribution. IRN CEO Steven Ludwig said, “No one wants to see the staff cuts we’re seeing. It’s horrible. But companies like Impact Radio Networks can’t dwell on the negative; crisis creates opportunity and we’re assembling solutions to deal with the new realities of our industry.” The five hour syndicated radio daypart targeted to adult women created by voiceover talent Robin Marshall and consulted by Zapoleon Media Strategies, was formerly syndicated by Envision Radio Networks. Envision Radio Network’s “The Todd-n-Tyler Radio Empire” syndicated morning show has found a new home, Journal Broadcast Group Rocker KJOT (J-105) Boise. The shows debut on Monday 3/23, brings the total number of affiliates to 5 including KEZO (Z-92) Omaha, KICT (T-95) Wichita, KZRQ (Z106.7) Springfield and WRGR (Rock 102.3) Burlington.

Envision Radio Networks names long-time Cleveland radio fixture Tim Kelly as VP/GM. Kelly was previously Corporate Dir./Operations and Market Manager for Elyria-Lorain Broadcasting’s Sandusky, OH cluster. “We are thrilled to have Tim join our growing company,” Envision Radio Networks COO Laura Orkin said. Kelly will oversee the Envision affiliate sales team as well as manage additional operational initiatives starting in 2009.

The number of marriages between companies who previously provided content to radio only and those who provide new distribution platforms to deliver that content are growing by the mile. Envision Radio Network and Vancouver WA based CelleCast have just announced a licensing deal that provides Envision content on-demand, over as Radio Ink’s Eric Rhodes puts it, “the ultimate portable unit” the cell phone.
