Compass Media Networks announced the launch of a new business focused morning show for syndicated radio, The Ron Insana Show hosted by Ron Insana. The long time CNBC contributor is expanding his commitment to radio by launching a daily long form show in addition to continuing short-form reports airing in over 50 markets. Road Kill Creative and Compass Media Networks have launched MVP, a new Sports imaging and audio production service co-founded by broadcast veteran Gabe Hobbs and RKP founder Nate Lundy. Designed exclusively for Sports radio, Lundy says MVP will include “the absolute best production voices in the business” and be a “turn key and compelling sports service.” Compass head honcho Peter Kosann predicts the new syndicated radio service will “quickly become the gold standard for sports radio production.”

Compass Media Networks announced the debut of “The Norman Goldman Show” into national syndication weekdays 6pm-9pm ET with a program designed for progressive talk stations. Peter Kosann, CEO and founder of Compass Media Networks said, “We see the next progressive syndicated radio star and his name is Norman Goldman. Norman is extremely compelling and eager to work hand-and-hand with affiliates to drive ratings and revenue.” Goldman has been a regular fill-in for Ed Schultz and was recently added by the Huffington Post as a regular blogger.

CNBC business reporter Ron Insana who’s been back on the network after leaving three years ago in an attempt to run a hedge fund, has been tapped by Compass Media to do radio stock market reports focusing on sports business news. Compass Media Network wasted little time in picking up the distribution of The Lars Larson Show after it was dropped by Westwood One last week. Compass founder Peter Kosann, a former Westwood executive will take over as the shows syndicator effective March 30th. Larson is currently on 150 stations including WNYM New York and KGIL Los Angeles.
