CBS Radio has named America’s Got Talent host and 92.3 Now New York morning show personality Nick Cannon as the host of a weekly countdown show to be syndicated on CBS Radio stations nationwide. Inside Radio is reporting that Premiere Radio Networks offered to clear Nick Cannon in afternoon drive “on a significant number of their stations,” according to Robert Eatman, who represents Cannon. Then the agent arranged a meeting with CBS. The rest is recent history. CBS Radio has hired Nick Cannon to host morning drive 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on 92.3 “Now” WXRK-FM in New York starting in January.
