One of our favorite people to watch since her syndicated radio show was cancelled by Syndication One, is the Oscar award winning actress/comedian Mo’Nique. Now rumor has it that her BET late night talk show has been dropped by the network. The news is not substantiated but Media TakeOut.com is reporting that the show was let go due to “personality” conflicts between the star and BET executives. We’ll keep an eye on this one.

Centric, Black Entertainment Networks older skewing sister station has announced plans to air a live cable simulcast of the the Premiere Radio Network syndicated morning show “The Steve Harvey Show” calling it “The Steve Harvey Project.” This is Harvey’s second recent foray back into television although it won’t require as much heavy lifting as his just announced gig as the new host of the Family Feud. In announcing it’s fall lineup BET is replacing one ex-syndicated radio host with another. “The Mo’Nique Show” premieres Monday, October 5th at 11:00 pm as televisions newest late night talk show. BET has announced the addition of a new late night talk show starring Mo’Nique to it’s lineup as part of a new branding strategy focusing on family values and community pride.  Mo’Nique who was recently dropped from her nationally syndicated radio show by Syndication One, will host “Breakin Up With Mo’Nique” joining a lineup of new shows for the network that also includes reality shows featuring singer Monica and “Everybody Hates Chris” star Terry Crews.

Well the wait is over, this morning Tom Joyner Morning Show listeners heard the announcement of the winner of an on-air search to replace Tavis Smiley as a weekly news commentator on the Reach Media nationally syndicated show.
