Black Talkers a new website dedicated to covering talk radio targeted to the African-American community, has released it’s  “Black Talkers Talented 10″ (radio) list. Joe Madison of WOL Washington and XM radio is at the top of what Black Talk founder Rob Redding calls  “The definitive list of top black radio talk show hosts in the talk media industry.”  The list includes a number of syndicated radio talkers, with Syndication One personality Al Sharpton ranking at number two. Syndication One syndicated radio talkers Al Sharpton and Warren Ballentine have been removed from the lineup at Radio One Charlotte urban WQNC-FM. The station after months of rumors of a format shift, re-launched Monday as “My92.7 R&B from the 80′s, 90′s and Now.”  According to the station website a one hour talk show hosted by Sharpton remains on the Sunday morning schedule, but there is no word yet as to whether or where the weekday version of his show or The Warren Ballentine Show will surface in the market.

Syndication One has tapped Yolanda Starks-White as Executive Director of Multi-Media Marketing. In her new role she will be responsible for creating signature events for the various Syndication One brands as well as assisting with custom affiliate events for the company.  Those brands include The Yolanda Adams Morning Show, The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, CoCo Brother Live, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Al Sharpton and Warren Ballentine. In addition, she will supervise all booking and contesting as it relates to various programming and shows.

Syndication One, a joint venture between Radio One and Reach Media, names Tanita Myers director of operations. She’s spent the last six years as director of syndicated radio operations for Reach, working with The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Myers will oversee operations for The Yolanda Adams Morning Show, The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, CoCo Brother Live, TD Jakes’ “Empowering Moments,” The Al Sharpton and Warren Ballentine talk programs, and other shows. Dial-Global’s syndicated Stephanie Miller Show, along with Air America Media’s new Montel Across America show hosted by longtime TV talker Montel Williams made their WWRL-AM New York debuts today. Miller is airing on the station from 11am-noon,  with Williams sliding into afternoon drive from 3-6pm in the slot formerly filled by Ron Kuby. The pair joins a weekday lineup at WWRL that already includes syndicated radio shows hosted by Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Ron Reagan, Al Sharpton, Alan Colmes and Phil Hendrie.
