In a surprise move Talk Radio Network president of programming Phil Boyce has announced his exit from the syndicated radio talk network effective immediately. Boyce joined TRN in November 2008 after a 14-year stint programming WABC, New York. He also served as VP of News/Talk programming for ABC Radio and Citadel Media. Boyce who landed in New York after programming Talk WJR Detroit hopes to announce his plans shortly.

John Rosso is out as President of Citadel Media following the network’s acquisition by Cumulus Media. Former ABC Radio Networks President Jim Robinson has opened an office in Dallas for the talent agency Schrutt & Katz. The move reunites Robinson with Norm Schrutt, who formerly served as President of the ABC-owned radio group. Robinson spent more than 20 years at ABC Radio, heading up the ABC Radio Networks and before that President of ABC Radio in Washington, DC.

More major changes at Citadel Media, Radio Ink is reporting that Jim Robinson has exited as president and is replaced by Citadel Interactive SVP John Rosso. Rosso spent a dozen years with ABC Radio Networks, starting as general manager of operations in 1995, and holding various operations, affiliate relations and digital media positions. ABC Radio Networks will be feeding Mike Huckabee’s “The Huckabee Report” in the time slots formerly filled by the late Paul Harvey’s features beginning Monday 3/23. Huckabee’s segments are shorter than the standard Harvey time slot so ABC will be offering additional short-form news features which will be announced soon.

ABC Radio Networks and Radiolicious have signed a multi-year sales and marketing agreement under which ABCRN will support affiliation efforts for Radiolicious’ platform for streaming over smartphones. The network will reach out to targeted stations, and will sell station inventory to be used on stations’ Radiolicious links and on the air.
