Citadel Media will begin syndicating country KSCS, Dallas host Jeremy Robinson in a five hour, nightly program 7pm-Midnight ET. “The Jeremy Show” will also be part of Citadel’s “Today’s Best Country” 24-hour format.

Bill Handel’s Premiere Radio Networks syndicated midday weekday show is over, and his flagship station, Clear Channel Talk KFI-A Los Angeles is replacing him with CFRB-A Toronto talker Bill Carroll effective February 22nd.
“I definitely underestimated how much having a second show would eat up my day,” said Handel. “That’s why I’m leaving the noon show behind…that, and the fact that no one wants to hear that much from me, not even my wife!”

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Erich “Mancow” Muller‘s 16 month run in mid-days at WLS are over. Co-host Pat Cassidy is also out at the Chicago talker as speculation persists as to whether the move was a programming decision or an economic one as a result of Citadel’s Chapter 11 filing late last year. Muller’s separate Talk Radio Network syndicated radio morning show will continue unaffected on stations around the country.

Citadel Media’s Kix Brooks adds a daily short form feature in addition to his weekly American Country Countdown, named “Just for Kix.” The country music star and syndicated radio host will take questions from listeners and answer them in a :60 feature that debuts March 1. New Generation Programming President of Programming Chuck Geiger has announced the launch of Mainstream Country and Top 40 Programming services for economically challenged small and medium market radio stations. Patrick McGeehan’s blog post in the New York Times is reporting that failed liberal talk network Air America, owes some of it’s former talent a few paychecks. According to the company’s Chapter 7 filing today in Manhattan bankruptcy court, unsecured debts exceeded its net worth by more than $15 million at the end and some of the networks’ syndicated radio talkers had not been paid for the last few airshifts. USRN will handle all network functions including affiliate relations and national ad sales. Janet Parshall, a syndicated radio talk-show host and the nation’s pre-eminent female Christian broadcaster, is leaving the Salem Radio Network this weekend to start up a new show with the Chicago-based Moody Broadcasting Network. TVNewser is reporting that 11 staffers of Atlanta-based CNN Radio have been cut in a reorganization of the news network’s radio operations. While 11 staffers have been cut, new positions will be created. The reorganization began late last year when CNN and Westwood One entered into a new multi-year deal extending their 15-year relationship.
