Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) has announced the launch of AIRE Radio Networks to create and distribute Spanish-language radio programming. AIRE Radio Networks will feature shows focused on the issues that matter most to Hispanics, including current events, health and family, finances, education, sports and entertainment. The new network will reach listeners in nine of the top 10 markets with an audience close to 12 million listeners — nearly 26 percent of the U.S. Hispanic population each week.
AIRE Radio Networks will utilize SBS multi-genre programming through five targeted network vehicles in more than 30 markets, and national scale solutions on content, experiential, digital, mobile and online platforms with more than 1.5 million unique visitors.
“This creation solidifies SBS’ expanding presence in Hispanic media and entertainment,” commented SBS Chairman/President/CEO Raul Alarcon. “We’re excited about capitalizing on syndication growth opportunities and AIRE Radio Networks will extend our top-ranked offerings to advertisers and listeners nationwide. Heritage radio properties with national coverage, popular on-air hosts providing unique syndicated programming, promotional tie-ins with major concert tours and online partnerships. Real Radio has arrived.”
