Randi Rhodes Out at Premiere Networks…Not

Liberal talker Randi Rhodes syndicated by Premiere Networks since 2009, will part ways with the company as of December 31st.  Although Premiere made the split official in a press release today, Rhodes had hinted on the air for the past few weeks that her time with the syndicator was coming to a close.

“The only way you’ll be able to find me in a little while is if you have my personal phone number,” said Rhodes on her Oct. 18 show.

Rhodes entered into syndication in 2003 after stints at WIOD-A Miami and WJNO-A West Palm Beach and was part of the original Air America Radio lineup. She joined Premiere in 2009 after the demise of Air America and a brief stint at Nova M Radio.

Nicole Sandler who is a regular guest host for Rhodes , will fill in on the show from Dec. 16-31,  which would make December 13 Rhodes’ last day on air.

UPDATE:

Affiliates were alerted today that the network and Rhodes have in fact re-upped through the end of 2014. Premiere spokesperson Rachel Nelson told NTS MediaOnline Today, “I can confirm Premiere Networks will continue to produce and distribute The Randi Rhodes Show.”
