Premiere Networks has launched TMZ Sports, a new one-hour weekday show for Sports and News/Talk stations. The show originates from Hollywood and is available Monday through Friday 7 p.m. to midnight EST. TMZ Sports is based on the sports entertainment website tmzsports.com and is centered around the ensemble of reporters in the TMZ newsroom who break exclusive stories that have an impact on athletes and teams. TMZ Sports also welcomes players and guests from around the world via Skype and other social media.
TMZ Executive Producer Harvey Levin said, “The show is going to attract people who love sports so they can learn more about the athletes they follow. It will also attract lots of people who don’t follow sports but like watching the drama and the fun.”
