Casey Kasem’s Family Feud

According to a report from TMZ, radio legend and former American Top 40 host Casey Kasem, is now in advanced stages of Parkinson’s Disease and is not being allowed to see his children. Kasem’s  three eldest children staged a protest outside his gated estate, claiming their stepmother Jean Kasem, has denied access and won’t allow them to visit their father.

Mike, Julie and Kerri Kasem (all from Casey’s first marriage to Linda Myers Kasem) staged a public protest outside their father’s Los Angeles home carrying signs that read things like: “Jean, Why won’t you let me see my Dad?”

Kasem’s eldest daughter, Kerri Kasem, co-host of  Premiere Radio’s syndicated radio show Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx said, “My dad is very sick, and we have been completely shut off from him for the last three months.”  She added, “There is no money issue here, we just want to see our dad. We love him, and everyone knows his kids and grand kids are a source of joy for him.”

In response, Jean Kasem reportedly called police to keep the group, including some of Kasem’s elderly friends and co-workers, away from the mansion’s gates.
