Donnie Simpson Hearing the Call…Back to D.C. Radio

BlackVoices.com is reporting that legendary Washington D.C. morning man Donnie Simpson is set to make a return to radio in the Nation’s Capital this time for an evening show on WHUR-FM (96.3).  Simpson was last heard on CBS Radio WPGC-FM (95.5), where he hosted the morning show for 18 years. The 32 year D.C. radio icon left in January 2010 after contract issues and a non-compete that ends in April. There is also talk that Simpson is in discussions with a syndicated radio company to take his proposed new night show national to compete against syndicated evening shows such as Premiere Radio Networks’ “Keith Sweat Hotel.” *UPDATE* Simpson is already refuting the rumors of a radio comeback on his Facebook page. However we’ve always contended that where there’s smoke , there’s fire.
