Liberal Talkers Get New Platform via Stitcher

Stitcher Radio, a free mobile phone “smart radio” application, available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and Palm has added Progressive Talk to it’s lineup of premium content. Under a series of agreements with individual production companies and web development company 921 Associates LLC, subscribers of the application will now have access to daily programming from nationally syndicated radio talkers Bill Press, Stephanie Miller, Leslie Marshall, Mike Malloy and “Ring of Fire.“We are very excited to provide listeners a great way to access some of the nation’s most popular syndicated radio shows, whenever and wherever they want,” said Stitcher CEO and co-founder Noah Shanok. “It is great to provide the audience increased flexibility and options with their memberships.”

921’s George Vassilopoulis added, “We feel that Stitcher will provide our current subscribers a fantastic option of getting their premium content on the go via their mobile device. While people that are unfamiliar with these exciting programs will be able to discover them by hearing the highlight clips that will be available for free.”

CNET has compared Stitchers ability to personalize news and talk content to Pandora stating in a review that the application “is to news and information what Pandora is to music.”
