Finally all is right in Chicago radio. The Reach Media syndicated radio Tom Joyner Morning Show already heard on WSRB-FM Soul 106 (106.3) will also be simulcast on Crawford clustermate WPWX-FM Power 92 (92.3). Joyner’s show had moved to WSRB after being dropped by Clear Channel urban adult contemporary WVAZ-FM V-103 (102.7) following a 13-year run to make way for Premiere Radio Networks’ syndicated “Steve Harvey Show.” WSRB’s class A signal had confined Joyner’s Chicago coverage area to the south side of the city.  The  WPWX simulcast will give Joyner two signals in market  number 3.

Joyner is optimistic the addition of WPWX will make it easier for his fans hear his show all across the city. “Finally, listeners don’t have to drive with their computers to hear us when they leave the South Side,” said Joyner.

The Tom Joyner Morning Show is heard in more than 100 markets nationwide, reaching an estimated one in four African Americans.
