Premiere Radio Network’s syndicated radio morning personality Steve Harvey has committed to pedaling up to four hours daily as part of the “Fit and Fly” challenge he’s launched on his show.  Harvey will broadcast from his bike during the show encouraging listeners to get fit, while raising money for his annual Father’s Day Mentoring Weekend.

Harvey is hoping to raise $1 million to expand his Father’s Day Mentoring Weekend to nine other cities and to mentor 1,000 boys in 2010. The first Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men, a program that brought together 100 boys ages 13-18 and their guardians to Harvey’s Dallas ranch for a weekend, was held in June 2009 to great success, transforming his Dallas, TX ranch into “Harvey Town.”

Harvey says, “That weekend in 2009 was a life-changer, and I am going to keep pedaling to make the Mentoring Weekend bigger and better this year.” The Steve Harvey Morning Show airs in 65 markets.
