Premiere Radio Networks has announced the addition of “Bollywood & Beyond” to its syndicated lineup.  “Bollywood & Beyond” is a 24/7 radio channel delivering non-stop hits from across India which will soon be availalble on IHeartradio. Produced in India and broadcast from California, the program is produced by NRI Media.

Approximately 3 million strong, the Asian-Indian community in the U.S. has the highest median income of any group. With a growth rate of 48% from 2000-2006, the Asian-Indian demographic grew twice as fast as the Hispanic population during the same period.

Premiere Radio Senior VP/Programming Jennifer Leimgruber stated, “We’re excited to partner with NRI Media to deliver this unique and entertaining content, and look forward to satisfying America’s growing appetite for Indian music.”

“Just as Latino radio blossomed in the ’80s, we are now witnessing the advent of professional desi radio,” said NRI Media President David Frerichs. “The Indian community has strong ties to current events and culture in India, but to date, no one has served that community with a quality product on a national platform. Thanks to Premiere, that’s changed and we are on our way.”
