It’s been in radio syndication for about a decade and has over 300 affiliates but Premiere Radio Networks has announced the end of the “Jeff Foxworthy Countdown” effective at years end. Premieres pickup of the Crook and Chase country countdown led to speculation (and we’re hearing this too) that this was coming and Foxworthy was packing the show in himself. It’s not like the comedian and host of “Who Smarter Than a Fifth Grader” needs the money. Forbes’ recently released list of the top earning men in prime time, ranks Foxworthy #8 just behind one Fox television star and in front of another, Kiefer Sutherland and Hugh Laurie.

Thank God! He’s been doing the same shtick for 20 years. Give it a rest already!
Jeff is a true talent and the biggest selling comedian of all time. Country Radio fans will be
missing Jeff for sure.
Does this mean I don’t get to hear Jeff having a conversation with himself in what he thinks are two different sounding character voices?
Thank god this painful 4 hours has died an ignominious death.
I for one will miss the show and hope for the fans of Jeff and the show that another syndication picks the show up.
