Mediabase Grants Reporter Status to Dial Global Formats

30 October 2009 295 views No Comment

Mediabase has qualified three Dial Global Radio Network formats for reporter status at the airplay monitoring service. This is a first for Mediabase which previously has only considered the airplay of terrestrial radio and has not included radio networks. By including Dial Global’s 24-hour formats, the service adds reach in hundreds of medium and small markets. That adds about 400 stations to the Mediabase research and close to 2 million additional listeners. Mediabase President/CEO Philippe Generali confirmed, “We are very excited that Dial Global’s stations have been added to the list of reporting stations for Mediabase. In a continuing effort to have the most credible and accurate charts in the radio and music businesses, we were delighted to be able to incorporate their stations into the mix of airplay reports we offer.”
