Blogger Bemoans Detroit Stations Loss of Identity

25 October 2009 241 views No Comment

Good post in the Detroit Radio blog bemoaning the current state of WNIC Detroit, including the absence of market legend Alan Almond and the increased number of syndicated radio shows and voice tracking on the station. The writer also makes an interesting observation, that has some truth to it,  on how important “All- Christmas- All-The-Time” seasonal programming, prevalent on many Adult Contemporary stations,  is to the year round ratings health of those stations in a PPM world.
