ABC Radio News Announces Layoffs

The ABC News Radio division has announced across the board layoffs, including management. Among them are longtime network news vets Robert Garcia (Executive Director, News & Sports) and Peter Salinger (Director, Special Events & Sports). The reductions primarily focused on writers, engineers and managers. Well known and award winning reporters; Aaron Katersky, Alex Stone, Ann Compton, Steven Portnoy, Matt Gutman, Vic Ratner, Linda Albin were not affected by the changes.
