Adam Carolla Comes Back To CBS Radio

“It’s nice to do a show that’s not, you know, cluttered with commercials, and the FCC, and a program director with an agenda and a lot of commercial reads. It’s pure, uncut, un-stepped on Adam,” – Adam Carolla on the daily podcasts that he launched after his syndicated radio show was cancelled by CBS Radio in February. Now the  two have a renewed partnership. Carolla will take his popular podcast to CBS Radio, which will promote the show and link to it on station websites. CBS will also sell the podcast’s advertising inventory.  In return, Carolla will create an online station called “K-Ace” later this month which will mix rock music with best-of Carolla clips. The webcast will be distributed via CBS Radio’s streaming platform including AOL Radio and Yahoo.  CBS Radio VP of programming Chris Oliviero says “This distinctive partnership showcases CBS Radio’s commitment to growth in the digital space and highlights the accessibility, portability and cutting edge programming available on radio.” It doesn’t hurt CBS that Carolla’s podcast reaches over 130,000 listeners per show and is constantly in the Top 10 of iTunes’ Top Podcasts chart. “You never know what you got till it’s gone”…
