“The Sporting Life” Added to ESPN Radio Lineup

ESPN Radio is adding a weekly one-hour show “The Sporting Life” with reporter and “E:60″ correspondent Jeremy Schaap for Friday’s at 10p ET, beginning September 11th.  “The Sporting Life” will include sports features, profiles and narratives, and follows in the footsteps of Schaap’s late father Dick Schaap who hosted a syndicated radio show of the same name on ESPN Radio.  “The Sporting Life will be a show that emphasizes long-form journalism, not driven by talk, but by the stories we produce- profiles, investigations and more off-beat pieces, too” said Jeremy Schaap. “On a more personal level, it means a lot to me that The Sporting Life, which my father hosted and I regularly co-hosted, is being revived, albeit in a different format. I am hoping that sports fans who appreciate the in-depth stories they see on Outside The Lines and E:60 will make a point of listening to The Sporting Life on ESPN Radio.”
