Wendy Williams, Neal Boortz In Radio Hall of Fame

The National Radio Hall of Fame has announced it’s 2009 inductees and syndicated radio was well represented. Dial Global’s syndicated talker Neal Boortz,and two former Westwood One Radio Network talents Wendy Williams and Dr. Demento were selected into the hall via an online ballot. The National Radio Hall of Fame steering committee also selected radio executive Norman Pattiz for induction.  Pattiz is the founder and chairman of Westwood One, and a pioneer in the national radio syndication business. Williams who exited last week from her radio jobs at WBLS New York and from her syndicated radio show to focus on her Fox television show, has announced that the door is open for a return to radio after she figures out how to manage her rapidly rising career. The inductions will be held at November 7th at the Renaissance Hotel in Chicago and will be  syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks. Premiere’s George Noory (Coast to Coast AM) will host the event.
