The migration of Citadel Media syndicated morning show Big Boy’s Neighborhood from West to East has taken another hit after the show was dropped by WUSL Power 99 Philadelphia. Instead the Clear Channel Urban  is running a “Making the Morning Show” competition the week of August 3 letting listeners vote to determine who will be the next morning show host. The competition so far is among in house candidates  Shamara, Golden Girl and The Hot Boyz along with some out-of-market personalities. After launching into syndication with much fanfare, the Emmis owned syndicated radio morning show has faced the typical West coast to East coast time zone challenges as well as battling the “sounds too LA” criticisms. Big Boy’s Neighborhood airs in 35 markets about eleven of them east of the Mississippi.
