3 June 2009 478 views No Comment

Air America Media through a LMA with Bonneville International will some have a home for it’s liberal syndicated radio talk lineup in Washington DC. WFED AM 1050 will become the DC radio home of  Montel Williams, Lionel, Ron Reagan, Rachel Maddow and other hosts to launch at a soon to be announced date. Air America CEO Bennett Zier said, “We’re looking forward to bringing progressive News/Talk programming to 1050 AM and actively engaging listeners across the most politically influential radio market in the U.S. This agreement and our full-time entry into the DC market are an integral part of Air America’s strategy to expand our listening audience.” Licensed to suburban Silver Spring, MD, AM 1050 was once the home of Bonneville’s online and on-air “Federal News Radio” with programming targeted specifically to federal employees.
