Air America Media Creates Sales Division
Air America Media has created an in-house sales unit, AAM Network Sales to handle the duties formerly held by Westwood One. Air America Chief Revenue Officer Scott Elberg will head the new venture, with offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. “We’re confident that our strong roster of talent, including Montel Williams, Rachel Maddow, Ron Reagan, Lionel and Ron Kuby, will be an appealing buy to advertisers,” said Elberg. Air America CEO Bennett Zier said, “I’m excited to continue to develop Air America into a multimedia organization with new shows, and now a sales division to accompany our newly-announced syndication division.”
