Mike Tirico is stepping down from his syndicated daily ESPN Radio show with Scott Van Pelt to assume several other radio and TV assignments for the 24/7 sports network. Effective July 6, The Scott Van Pelt Show will air on ESPN Radio from 2-4pm (ET), with Van Pelt hosting the first hour solo before being joined by Boston radio and TV veteran Ryen Russillo for the second hour. Van Pelt’s and Rusillo’s 3-4pm hour will also feature a television simulcast on ESPN2.

I love Scott Van Pelt. He is refreshingly honest. He and Mike did a fine job together. Scott can carry his own show, he is a fine radio host.
