The migration of the talk radio format from AM to FM is beginning to pick up some steam. Wilks Broadcastings  Smooth Jazz KJZN-FM has flipped to talk as “105.5 The Truth” with a lineup including Talk Radio Network hosts Erich “Mancow” Muller, Laura Ingraham, Jerry Doyle, Rusty Humphries and Phil Hendrie, and Citadel Media’s syndicated Curtis Sliwa. TRN’s Michael Savage will also join “The Truth” in June when his deal on crosstown KMJ-FM is up in June. Meanwhile WAVH-FM Mobile Alabama has dropped it’s Pirate Radio format for talk as “FM Talk 106.5 with a lineup featuring Savage and Dial Global talkers Neal Boortz and Clark Howard. WHJK-FM  Chattanooga has also switched to talk as the new “95.3 Pulse News” featuring Premiere Radio Networks talkers Glenn Beck and Jason Lewis. Al Peterson of NTS MediaOnline has mentioned rumors of  a few more FM talk flips set to happen this week. One person seems to be the driving force behind the FM Talk movement, Talk Radio Network President of Programming Phil Boyce.
