Compass Media Networks and Dial Global have announced that they will offer a schedule of NCAA and NFL games to radio stations and advertisers this season. “We have secured the rights to a full schedule of some of the best college football games for the upcoming season,” said Compass Founder Peter Kossan. “We will acquire the rights to Sunday afternoon NFL games to provide advertisers and affiliates a complete game-day package for the entire sports weekend. Ken Williams and I have known Peter for over 15 years. We have complete confidence that Compass Media Networks will become a major provider of national sports programming,” said Dial Global co-CEO David Landau. “Live sports offers advertisers a tremendous sponsorship environment and we are pleased to deliver bigger and better games for the upcoming season.”  Westwood One recently signed a two-year $33 million deal to retain the rights to the Sunday, Monday and Thursday night games as well as the playoffs and the Superbowl. *UPDATE* Here are some details on the networks proposed Sunday football radio schedule – Atlanta vs. Dallas, Atlanta vs. Washington, Dallas vs. Philadelphia and Philadelphia vs. Washington among others. Peter Kosann is promising that Compass will be “very affiliate-friendly, we will not strong-arm affiliates and force them to take dozens of extra shows and programs to get access to the Sunday afternoon NFL games.”
